Journal Prompt | 29 Days of Self Love
Here is a list of 29 journal prompts to write about. These prompts are set up to get you thinking about you, finding better ways to love you, and figuring out what’s been getting in the way of that. It doesn’t matter what order you choose to do each prompt. Pick one for each day, grab a journal and pen, and write away.
What do you dislike about yourself right now? Why? How can you change your view of it?
What are you struggling with? Why? Is it something that’s in your power to change?
Destroy a negative idea you have about yourself. Switch that idea out with something positive.
Say “Yes” to everything you want to do, especially what you’re always holding back on.
What do you need to forgive yourself for? What’s stopping your forgiveness?
Write a list of 5 things you love about your personality.
Write a list of 7 things you love about your body.
What habit do you need to break? People can be habits too.
Set boundaries for yourself. What does those boundaries look like?
From the third person, write a paragraph describing yourself to a stranger.
What 3 essential things make you happy?
What are your fears? How can you face them?
When is the last time you’ve done something for yourself? What was it? What feelings did it produce? How can you experience those feelings again?
Name 3 things you are proud of or accomplished. Why are those your 3 things?
Give yourself a break today at whatever you are working hard on.
What things put you down that you can’t say “No” to? Why can’t you say “No?”
How do you handle stress? Is it working for you? How can you improve it?
Who do you look up too? Why? What values do you like about that person you can apply to yourself?
What are your core values?
What do you wish you had more of? How can you get it?
Take away your phone for the day or a few hours. What did you do for the day? How did you feel?
Sit still for ten minutes. Where did your mind go?
Write a list of 7 things you want but feel you can’t have. Why do you think you can’t have them? How can you change your mind about that?
Take yourself out to dinner, a movie, shopping. Have a ME day.
What are your grateful for right now?
Whats something you still have that reminds you of something that makes you sad?
Go on Ted talk and choose a video under the Self category. What video did you choose? What did you learn from it?
Look up a list of feelings and emotions. Cross out the words you feel when you are sad. Highlight the ones you feel when you are happy. How can you get from the cross out words to the highlighted ones.
Stretch your full body for 15 minutes. How do you feel? Where does your tension lie?
